MISSION
The mission of Włodzimierz Kamiński Violin Making Festival is to promote the art of violin making, disseminate violin making knowledge, promote the figure of Włodzimierz Kamiński and facilitate encounters between students and professional violin makers from all over Europe and beyond. The Festival is a creative hub for sharing thoughts, views and ideas about violin making between makers, musicians and the audience. An important element of the mission is to promote the Polish violin making school on international arena.
VISION
Poznań aspires to become one of the main centres for artistic violin making in Europe, especially as a centre for the generation and dissemination of violin making knowledge and exemplary facility for makers’ education. During the Festival, Poznań will present itself as a European platform for cooperation, research and education of violin makers. The Artistic Violin Making Department of the Academy of Music in Poznań envisions the future in which a European network of violin making schools will closely cooperate to conduct research and educate next generations of violin makers.
